Curriculum Impact Network - ESP and project based learning - 23 Jan 2026

Join us on Friday 23 January and explore best practices for delivering Employer Set Projects (ESP) within T Levels through project-based learning (PBL) approaches. We will be joined by guest speaker Ioan Davies, Director Faculty at Activate Learning who will talk about project based work they undertake within their faculty, linking their T Level students to businesses and industry.

In this network you will have the opportunity to:

  • enhance understanding: deepen knowledge of ESP requirements and how they align with T Level assessment objectives.
  • share strategies: exchange effective methods for integrating PBL into ESP delivery, ensuring authentic, industry-relevant experiences for learners
  • opportunities to network with peers for collaborative project development.

Curriculum Impact Network - Neurodivergent learners and SEND - 30 Jan 2026

Join us on Friday 30 January 2026 as we host a Curriculum Impact Network with Roz Hicks, Head of Media Business & Digital Industries at City College Norwich and Digital Policy and Project Manager at AoC, focussing on the ever-important topic of how best to support neurodivergent learners and the SEND system.

It is a great opportunity for you and colleagues to bring forward any challenges you might be facing currently in the classroom, update others on industry currency based on your own CPD from this year so far and share best practice with colleagues across the sector.

We also encourage you to bring along any resources that may be of interest for others to embed into their own teaching.

Curriculum Impact Network - Embedding Careers into the Curriculum with The Careers Enterprise Company - 11 Feb 2026

We are thrilled to be joined by joined by Alison Sadler, Further Education and Skills Lead for the Education Development Team at The Careers and Enterprise Company to discuss strategies of how to successfully embed careers guidance into classroom teaching.

With 25 years’ experience in the Further Education sector, including management of apprenticeships, adult education, study programmes and HE provision. Alison is responsible for management of national FE & ITP communities of improvement, resource development, and supporting the Post 16 sector to achieve delivery of high-quality careers education.

This session will cover:

  • what is high quality careers education?
  • distributed leadership of careers - why it is everyone's business
  • embedding careers in the curriculum - examples and approaches
  • support and resources available for teaching staff
  • how to get involved!

Schools Spotlight Network: Marketing and Student Recruitment - 13 Mar 2026

This upcoming network is designed to support schools in developing effective strategies for marketing and student recruitment, ensuring strong engagement with prospective learners and their families.

In this network we will discuss:

  • sharing best practice: exchange successful approaches to marketing campaigns, digital engagement, and outreach activities.
  • enhancing recruitment strategies: explore innovative methods to attract and retain students, including open events, social media, and community partnerships
  • collaborating for impact: build connections between schools to co-create resources and share expertise in branding and communication
  • practical ideas for improving visibility and engagement with target audiences

Previous Networks

At our Schools Spotlight Network, we discussed Employer Engagement with Oliver Rosen. 

Oliver Rosen, Head of Media, Computing and Social Sciences Faculty at Acland Burghley School. He has over 20 years of experience in the planning, implementation and delivery of Media Education.  Oliver has worked with a number of exam boards including OCR whereby he co-authored the Dynamic Learning Resource for the new Media A-Level specification.  The Institute of Education has recognised excellence in Oliver’s work twice through the prestigious London Education Partnership Awards, supporting journeys category, awarded for empowering young people and bridging the gap between the Creative Industries and Education.

On 3 December 2025, we held our Curriculum Impact Network on Embedding English, maths and digital

We hosted a Curriculum Impact Network on 19 November on Reflections on the 24-25 Academic year. In this session, we explored national achievement trends, successes and lessons learnt. Participants entered breakout rooms and discussed curriculum, assessment and industry placements where they exchanged strategies and brought these into the main room to identify actionable ideas and best practice to implement immediately. We also reviewed the Post-16 White Paper and the Curriculum & Assessment Review. 

In October, we hosted a Route Exchange Network for the Health T Level and we were joined by NCFE. Access the Padlet that was shared during the Network which discussed the mark scheme for assessment and that participants shared other resources to help the community.
